أقامت دار الفتوى – المجلس الإسلامي الأعلى في أستراليا حفل تخريج طلاب الدورة الأزهريّة في قاعة كلية غلنروي الخاصة بمدينة ملبورن، بحضور سعادة الأستاذ هيثم مختار، القنصل العام لجمهورية مصر العربية،القنصل العام اللبناني طانيوس قبعيتي القنصل العام العراقي الدكتور بلال عطية القنصل الفخري للملكة المغربية رولاند جبور ،النائب إيوان والتر ممثلا رئيسة الحكومة في فيكتوريا جاسينتا آلان ،النائب الفيدرالي باسم عبدو ،النائب كاثلين وارد، النائب برانوين هالفبيني،كريس مايلز ممثلا رئيس بلدية ميري باك ناتلي عبود.
إلى جانب عدد من الشخصيات الدينية والرسمية وممثلي المؤسسات الإسلامية وأبناء الجالية.
وجاء هذا الحفل احتفاءً بتخريج نخبة من الأئمة الذين أتمّوا بنجاح برنامج «إعداد الداعية المعاصر»، الذي أُقيم بالتعاون مع المنظمة العالمية لخريجي الأزهر وأكاديمية الأزهر العالمية، بهدف تأهيل الأئمة والدعاة علمياً ودعوياً، وتعزيز دورهم في نشر قيم الاعتدال والوسطية وخدمة المجتمع.
وأكدت دار الفتوى في كلمتها أن هذا البرنامج يأتي ضمن جهودها المستمرة للارتقاء بالمستوى العلمي والدعوي للأئمة والدعاة في أستراليا، بما يواكب احتياجات المجتمع المسلم ويسهم في ترسيخ صيغة التعايش الحسن.
كما أشادت دار الفتوى بالدور الريادي الذي يضطلع به الأزهر الشريف ومؤسساته العلمية في نشر العلم الشرعي الوسطي، وتعزيز التواصل العلمي والثقافي مع الجاليات الإسلامية حول العالم.
وفي ختام الحفل، تم توزيع الشهادات على الخريجين، وسط أجواء من الفرح والاعتزاز بهذا الإنجاز العلمي المبارك، مع الدعاء للخريجين بالتوفيق والسداد في أداء رسالتهم الدينية وخدمة مجتمعاتهم.
Graduation of Sheikhs from Al-Azhar Academy Training Program: Promoting Moderation and Peaceful Coexistence..
A graduation ceremony was held on 14 June 2026 to honour a distinguished group of sheikhs and religious leaders who successfully completed a specialised training program delivered in November 2025. The ceremony took place at Glenroy Private College Hall in Melbourne and was attended by a range of political, religious, and community representatives.
Among the distinguished guests were His Excellency Mr Haitham Mokhtar, Consul-General of the Arab Republic of Egypt; Mr Tanius Kabbayti, Consul-General of Lebanon; Dr Bilal Atiyah, Consul-General of Iraq; Mr Roland Jabbour, Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Morocco; Mr Ewan Walter MP, representing the Premier of Victoria, Ms Jacinta Allan; Federal MP Basem Abdo; MP Kathleen Ward; MP Bronwyn Halfpenny; and Mr Chris Miles, representing Merri-bek Mayor Ms Natali Abood. Also in attendance were numerous religious leaders, representatives of Islamic organisations, and members of the wider community.
The ceremony marked the successful completion of the “Contemporary Preacher Preparation Program”, conducted in collaboration with the World Organisation for Al-Azhar Graduates and the Al-Azhar Global Academy. The program was designed to equip imams and preachers both academically and in outreach, while strengthening their role in promoting the values of moderation and serving the community.
In its address, Darulfatwa affirmed that this programme forms part of its ongoing efforts to elevate the academic and outreach standards of imams and preachers in Australia, in a manner that meets the needs of the Muslim community and contributes to strengthening harmonious coexistence.
Darulfatwa also commended the pivotal role of Al-Azhar and its educational institutions in promoting balanced Islamic scholarship, advancing intellectual and cultural dialogue, and strengthening engagement with Muslim communities around the world.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of certificates to the graduates in an atmosphere of pride and celebration. Attendees expressed their appreciation for this significant academic achievement and offered prayers for the graduates’ continued success in fulfilling their religious responsibilities and serving their communities with wisdom, moderation, and dedication.
