حضر الدكتور راتب جنيد، رئيس الاتحاد الفيدرالي للمجالس الإسلامية في أستراليا، إلى جانب مفتي أستراليا العام الشيخ رياض الرفاعي، وعضوي المكتب التنفيذي في الاتحاد الأخ قيصر طراد والأخ أحمد طالب، وممثلة الشباب الآنسة أمينة جنيد، حفل الإفطار الذي أقامته كلية الفيصل تحت قيادة مؤسسها ومديرها العام الشيخ شقيب عبد الله خان.
وشهدت المناسبة حضوراً واسعاً ومتنوعاً من الضيوف، من بينهم سياسيون، وممثلون عن الجهات الحكومية والجامعات، وتربويون، وأعضاء في المجالس البلدية، وأعضاء من مجتمع الكلية وطلابها، إلى جانب نخبة من العلماء والأئمة وقادة المجتمع وشخصيات اجتماعية مرموقة أخرى.
وعكست الأمسية روح وقيم شهر رمضان المبارك، حيث وفّرت فرصة مميزة لأبناء المجتمع من مختلف الخلفيات والقطاعات للالتقاء في أجواء من التأمل والوحدة والاحترام المتبادل.
كما سلّط اللقاء الضوء على الدور المهم الذي تؤديه المؤسسات التعليمية مثل كلية الفيصل في تعزيز التعليم والتواصل المجتمعي وبناء جسور التفاهم بين مختلف فئات المجتمع، مع الاحتفاء بقيم الرحمة والكرم وخدمة المجتمع التي يتميز بها هذا الشهر الفضيل.
AFIC Leadership Attend Al-Faisal College Community Iftar
Dr Rateb Jneid, President of the Australian Federation of Islamic Councils (AFIC), together with the National Grand Mufti of Australia, Sheikh Riad El Rifai, AFIC Executive Members Brother Keysar Trad and Brother Ahmad Taleb, and youth representative Miss Ameena Jneid, attended the Al-Faisal College Iftar dinner hosted under the leadership of its Founder and Managing Director, Sheikh Shaqib Abdullah Khan.
The event brought together a large and diverse gathering of guests, including politicians, representatives from government and universities, educators, councillors, members of the college community, students, distinguished scholars, Imams, community leaders and other honoured guests.
The evening reflected the spirit and values of the blessed month of Ramadan, providing a meaningful opportunity for people from different backgrounds and sectors of society to come together in an atmosphere of reflection, unity and mutual respect.
The gathering highlighted the important role that institutions such as Al-Faisal College play in fostering education, community engagement and inter-community understanding, while celebrating the values of compassion, generosity and service that characterise the holy month of Ramadan.
