يدين الاتحاد الفيدرالي للمجالس الإسلامية في أستراليا (AFIC) بأشد العبارات وأقساها استيلاء إسرائيل غير القانوني على “أسطول الحرية”، وهو بعثة إنسانية كانت متجهة إلى غزة وتحمل مساعدات منقذة للحياة، بدعم من مدافعين دوليين عن حقوق الإنسان، من ضمنهم حاصلون على جائزة نوبل للسلام وقادة في المجتمع المدني.
ويُعدّ هذا العمل الأخير من أعمال القرصنة والعدوان امتدادًا لحملة أوسع من العقاب الجماعي والإبادة الجماعية التي تمارسها إسرائيل بحق الشعب الفلسطيني منذ ثمانية عشر شهرًا. إن الحصار المفروض على غزة، ومنع وصول المساعدات، واستهداف المدنيين، تشكّل انتهاكات صارخة للقانون الدولي، ولكل الأعراف الإنسانية، ولأبسط المبادئ الأخلاقية.
لم تكن السفينة “مادلين” سفينةً حربية، بل كانت في مهمة إنسانية بحتة. وإن استيلاء إسرائيل عليها يُعد اعتداءً مباشرًا، ليس فقط على شعب غزة، بل على جميع من لا يزالون حول العالم يؤمنون بالعدالة والرحمة وسيادة القانون.
وقد صرّح الدكتور راتب جنيد، رئيس الاتحاد الفيدرالي للمجالس الإسلامية، قائلًا:
“نحن نشهد اليوم تجريمَ من يحاول مساعدة الضحايا، وتحويلَ العمل الإنساني إلى جريمة، بينما يتعرض الشعب الفلسطيني لأبشع أشكال الوحشية.”
وأضاف:
“لا يمكن للعالم أن يظل صامتًا بينما تواصل إسرائيل تجويع غزة ومنع حتى أبسط أشكال الإغاثة الإنسانية عنها. هذه ليست قضية فلسطينية فحسب، بل هي قضية أخلاقية تخصّ الإنسانية جمعاء.”
ويهيب الاتحاد الفيدرالي للمجالس الإسلامية بالحكومة الأسترالية، وجميع الدول التي تدّعي التزامها بحقوق الإنسان والقانون الدولي، أن:
تُدين علنًا الاستيلاء غير القانوني لإسرائيل على “أسطول الحرية”، وتطالب بالإفراج الفوري عن السفينة وكل من كانوا على متنها؛
تطالب بالسماح الفوري وغير المشروط بدخول المساعدات الإنسانية إلى غزة؛
تفرض عقوبات محددة وتتبنى إجراءات دبلوماسية صارمة بحق إسرائيل، نظير انتهاكاتها المتكررة والممنهجة للقانون الإنساني الدولي.
إن البيانات الخطابية وحدها لم تعد كافية، بينما تواصل إسرائيل ارتكاب الجرائم دون أي مساءلة. لقد انتهى زمن التهرب الدبلوماسي والجبن السياسي. وإن لم تتحرك أستراليا والمجتمع الدولي الآن، فإنهم سيكونون شركاء في معاناة غزة، وفي تقويض الأطر القانونية والأخلاقية التي تحمينا جميعًا.

AFIC Condemns Israel’s Seizure of Gaza Aid Flotilla and Calls for Urgent International Intervention
The Australian Federation of Islamic Councils (AFIC) condemns in the strongest possible terms Israel’s illegal seizure of the Freedom Flotilla, a humanitarian aid mission bound for Gaza carrying lifesaving supplies and supported by international human rights advocates, including Nobel Peace laureates and civil society leaders.
This latest act of piracy and aggression is part of Israel’s broader campaign of collective punishment and genocide against the Palestinian people, now in its 18th month. The blockade of Gaza, the denial of aid, and the targeting of civilians are flagrant violations of international law, human decency, and basic morality.
The Madleen was not a military vessel. It was a humanitarian mission. Its seizure is a direct assault not only on the people of Gaza but on all those across the world who still believe in justice, compassion, and the rule of law.
“We are witnessing the brutalisation of a people and the criminalisation of those who try to help them,” said Dr Rateb Jneid, President of AFIC.
“The world cannot remain silent while Israel starves Gaza and blocks even the most basic humanitarian relief. This is not just a Palestinian issue. It is a moral cause for all of humanity.”
AFIC calls on the Australian Government and all nations that claim to uphold human rights and international law to:
• Publicly condemn Israel’s illegal seizure of the Freedom Flotilla and demand the immediate release of the vessel and all on board.
• Demand that humanitarian aid be allowed to enter Gaza without obstruction.
• Impose targeted sanctions and diplomatic consequences on Israel for its repeated and systematic violations of international humanitarian law.
It is not enough to issue statements of concern while Israel continues to commit atrocities with impunity. The time for diplomatic evasion and political cowardice is over. If Australia and the international community fail to act now, they become complicit not only in the suffering of Gaza, but in the erosion of the very legal and moral frameworks that protect us all.
