ادان الاتحادُ الفيدرالي للمجالس الإسلامية في أستراليا برئاسة الدكتور راتب جنيد، قرارَ إسرائيل حظرَ عشرات المنظمات الإنسانية والإغاثية من العمل في قطاع غزة، وهو قرارٌ يأتي في ذروة فصل الشتاء، في وقتٍ يواجه فيه الفلسطينيون المُهجَّرون فيضاناتٍ وبردًا قارسًا، وجوعًا، وخطرَ الموت اليومي.
لا شيء على الإطلاق.لا يوجد أيُّ مبرّرٍ معقولٍ لهذا الإجراء
فالمنظماتُ الإنسانية وُجدت لإنقاذ الأرواح. ومنعُها من العمل في غزة، بينما يعيش المدنيون في خيامٍ مكشوفةٍ للأمطار والبرد والأمراض، لا يمكن وصفُه بتدبيرٍ أمني، بل هو فعلٌ متعمَّدٌ من العقاب الجماعي.
وقال الدكتور راتب جنيد، رئيس الاتحاد:
«لا يمكن الادّعاء بوجود وقفٍ لإطلاق النار في الوقت الذي تُجوِّعون فيه السكان، وتُعرِّضونهم للتجمّد، وتواصلون قصفهم. إن وقفَ إطلاق النار الذي يسمح بقتل الناس يوميًا، ثم يحرمهم من الغذاء والمأوى والرعاية الطبية، ليس سلامًا، بل قسوةٌ تُمارَس بوسائل أخرى».
لقد اقتصر ردُّ المجتمع الدولي على ما هو أكثر بقليل من عبارات القلق. إن هذا الصمت ولا سيّما من الحكومات الغربية التي تزعم الدفاع عن حقوق الإنسان يُمثّل إخفاقًا أخلاقيًا واضحًا، ويبعث برسالةٍ مفادُها أن حياةَ الفلسطينيين قابلةٌ للمساومة، ومشروطة، وفي نهاية المطاف قابلةٌ للتضحية.
• إن الزعمَ بوجود وقفٍ لإطلاق النار في ظلّ ما يلي:
• مقتلُ الفلسطينيين يوميًا
• حظرُ المنظمات الإغاثية
• تجمُّدُ الأطفال في خيامٍ غمرتها المياه
• التعطيلُ المتعمَّدُ للرعاية الطبية
ليس سوى وهمٍ يُهين الحقيقةَ والضميرَ معًا.
وأضاف الدكتور جنيد:
«يُطالَب العالمُ بقبول سلامٍ زائف بينما يُدمَّر شعبٌ ببطء. إن هذا فشلٌ في الإرادة. ولا يستطيع أيُّ إنسانٍ الادّعاء بالجهل في مواجهة الفظائع اليومية التي نشهدها».
ويُعرب الاتحادُ عن بالغ قلقه إزاء عدم صدور أي بيانٍ علني حتى الآن عن الحكومة الأسترالية يُدين هذا القرار أو يدعو إلى الاستعادة الفورية لإمكانية الوصول الإنساني.
وعليه، يدعو الاتحادُ الحكومةَ الأسترالية إلى:
• الإدانة العلنية لحظر إسرائيل للمنظمات الإنسانية
• المطالبة بالدخول الفوري وغير المقيّد للمساعدات إلى غزة
• إنهاء الصمت واتخاذ موقفٍ مبدئي منسجمٍ مع القانون الدولي الإنساني
إن التاريخَ سيحكم على من تحرّكوا وعلى من اختاروا الإعراض. ففي لحظةٍ يتجمّد فيها الأطفال وتُغلَق الأبوابُ في وجه عمال الإغاثة، لا يكون الصمتُ خيارًا.
AFIC: Banning Humanitarian Aid in Winter Exposes the Ceasefire as a Fiction and the Moral Failure of the West
The Australian Federation of Islamic Councils (AFIC) condemns Israel’s decision to ban dozens of humanitarian and aid organisations from operating in Gaza, a decision that comes in the depths of winter, as displaced Palestinians endure flooding, freezing temperatures, hunger, and the daily threat of death.
There is no reasonable excuse for this action. None.
Humanitarian organisations exist to save lives. Preventing them from operating in Gaza while civilians are living in tents, exposed to rain, cold, and disease, is not a security measure. It is a deliberate act of collective punishment.
“You cannot claim a ceasefire while you starve, freeze, and bomb a civilian population,” said Dr Rateb Jneid, President of AFIC. “A ceasefire that allows people to be killed every day, and now denies them food, shelter, and medical care, is not peace, it is cruelty by other means.”
The international community has responded with little more than expressions of concern. This silence, particularly from Western governments that claim to uphold human rights, represents a clear moral failure. It sends a clear message that Palestinian lives are negotiable, conditional, and ultimately expendable.
The notion that a ceasefire exists while:
• Palestinians are killed every day
• Aid organisations are banned
• Children are freezing in flooded tents
• Medical care is deliberately obstructed
is a fiction that insults both truth and conscience.
“The world is being asked to accept a false peace while a population is slowly destroyed,” Dr Jneid said. “This is a failure of will. No person can claim ignorance in the face of the daily atrocities we are witnessing.”
AFIC is deeply disturbed that the Australian Government has, to date, made no public statement condemning this decision or calling for the immediate restoration of humanitarian access.
AFIC calls on the Australian Government to:
• Publicly condemn Israel’s ban on humanitarian organisations
• Demand the immediate and unrestricted entry of aid into Gaza
• End its silence and take principled action consistent with international humanitarian law
History will judge those who acted and those who chose to look away. At a moment when children are freezing and aid workers are being shut out, silence is not an option.
