يُصدر الاتحاد الأسترالي للمجالس الإسلامية برئاسة الدكتور راتب جنيد، هذا البيان غارقًا في ألمٍ عميقٍ وغضبٍ شديدٍ إزاء ما يشهده قطاع غزة مجددًا من سفكٍ للدماء. فقد فرّ عشرات الآلاف من الفلسطينيين من مدينة غزة تحت تهديدات متجددة بالغزو الإسرائيلي، فيما دمّرت الغارات الجوية مجتمعاتٍ بأكملها، وتفاقمت الكارثة الإنسانية ساعةً بعد ساعة. وما زال المجتمع الدولي، بقيادة الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، يوفّر لإسرائيل الغطاء الدبلوماسي وهي ترتكب جرائم حرب دون حسيب أو رقيب. غير أنّ ما هو أشدّ إيلامًا وضجيجًا هو صمت قادة العالم الإسلامي.
ونسأل: أين هم قادة العرب والمسلمين اليوم؟
أين أولئك الذين يدّعون تمثيل الأمة وهم يشاهدون الإبادة البطيئة لشعبٍ بأسره؟
أين هو الغضب والعزم والوحدة التي يفرضها هذا الموقف؟
هل لم يعُد أهل غزة جزءًا من هذه الأمة؟ وهل استُبدل الواجب الأخلاقي في نصرة المظلومين بجبنٍ دبلوماسي ومهادنات استراتيجية؟
إننا ندين بلا تردّد أفعال الكيان الإسرائيلي بوصفها جرائم ضد الإنسانية. غير أنّ رسالتنا اليوم موجّهة إلى أولئك في العالم الإسلامي الذين يملكون القدرة على الفعل لكنهم اختاروا الصمت. فنحن نشهد اليوم ليس فقط إبادة جماعية، بل خيانة من قِبَل مَن أوتمنوا على السلطة والثروة وفشلوا في أداء واجبهم تجاه الدفاع عن قدسية الحياة وكرامة إخوانهم المسلمين.
ومن غير المقبول أخلاقيًا أن تستمر بعض الحكومات ذات الأغلبية المسلمة في تقديم الدعم الدبلوماسي أو الاقتصادي لإسرائيل أو حلفائها بينما يُدفن أطفال غزة في مقابر جماعية. وبالمثل، فإنّ البقاء على الحياد إزاء جرائم الحرب الموثقة يُعدّ تواطؤًا صريحًا. فالحياد أمام الإبادة الجماعية هو مشاركة في الجريمة.
لقد أظهر الشعب الفلسطيني للعالم معنى الصمود والكرامة، غير أنّه لا ينبغي أن يُترك وحيدًا في هذا الميدان. يقول الله تعالى في كتابه الكريم:
﴿وَمَا لَكُمْ لَا تُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّٰهِ وَالْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَاءِ وَالْوِلْدَانِ﴾ (النساء: 75).
وإنّ خيانة هذا الأمر الإلهي من قِبَل قيادات كثيرٍ من الدول المسلمة وصمة عارٍ لن ينساها التاريخ، ولن تغفرها جماهير الأمة.
وندعو كل قائد عربي ومسلم أن يبادر فورًا إلى:
• قطع أو تعليق جميع العلاقات الدبلوماسية والاقتصادية مع إسرائيل.
• الإدانة العلنية والصريحة للإبادة الجماعية الجارية.
• الدعوة إلى عقد قمة طارئة لمنظمة التعاون الإسلامي وجامعة الدول العربية للاتفاق على تحرّك جماعي.
• وقف جميع أشكال التعاون مع الحكومات الداعمة ماديًا للهجوم الإسرائيلي، وفي مقدمتها الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، حتى تنهي تلك الحكومات تواطؤها.
•تقديم دعم إنساني وطبي وإعادة إعمار مستدام للشعب الفلسطيني عبر قنوات مباشرة ومستقلة.
وإن لم تستطيعوا القيادة، فعلى الأقل لا تعيقوا جهود من يسعى للتحرك.
“إنّ الصمت بينما غزة تُحرق هو مشاركة في تدميرها. إنّ إخواننا وأخواتنا في فلسطين لا يستغيثون بطعامٍ أو ماءٍ أو دواء فحسب، بل ينادون بالعدل. وإذا عجز القادة العرب والمسلمون عن تلبية هذا النداء، فإنّ مكانة القيادة الأخلاقية في الأمة ستنتقل إلى غيرهم. ولن يكون التاريخ رحيمًا بمن فضّل الراحة على الضمير.”

نقف بثبات إلى جانب الشعب الفلسطيني، ونؤكّد مجددًا التزامنا بالدفاع عن العدالة والكرامة والتحرير الكامل لجميع الفلسطينيين. لقد ولّى زمن البيانات، وما يحتاجه العالم اليوم هو العمل. وسيحكم التاريخ على كلٍّ منّا بما فعلناه، أو تقاعسنا عن فعله، في هذه اللحظة الفارقة.
AFIC Statement to the Leaders of the Muslim World Where Is Your Conscience?
The Australian Federation of Islamic Councils (AFIC) issues this statement in utter anguish and outrage as Gaza once again descends into bloodshed. Tens of thousands of Palestinians are fleeing Gaza City under renewed threats of Israeli invasion, airstrikes have devastated entire communities, and the humanitarian catastrophe deepens by the hour. The international community, led by the United States, continues to shield Israel diplomatically while it commits war crimes with impunity. And yet, most deafening of all is the silence from the leaders of the Muslim world.
We ask: Where are the Arab and Muslim leaders now?
Where are those who claim to speak for the Ummah while watching the slow extermination of an entire people?
Where is the outrage, the resolve, the unity that this moment demands?
Do the people of Gaza no longer count as part of this Ummah? Has the moral obligation to stand with the oppressed been replaced with diplomatic cowardice and strategic appeasement?
AFIC unequivocally condemns the Israeli regime’s actions as crimes against humanity. But today, our message is directed at those in the Muslim world who have the means to act but choose not to. We are witnessing not only genocide but a betrayal by those entrusted with power and wealth who have failed in their duty to defend the sanctity of life and the dignity of their fellow Muslims.
It is unconscionable that some Muslim-majority governments continue to offer diplomatic or economic support to Israel or its backers while the children of Gaza are being buried in mass graves. It is equally unconscionable to remain neutral while war crimes are livestreamed to the world. Neutrality in the face of genocide is complicity.
The Palestinian people have shown the world the meaning of resilience and dignity. But they should not have to stand alone. The Qur’an commands us:
“And what is [the matter] with you that you fight not in the cause of Allah and [for] the oppressed among men, women, and children…” (4:75).
The betrayal of this command by the leadership of many Muslim states is a stain that history will not forget and neither will the Muslim masses.
We call on every Arab and Muslim leader to:
• Immediately cut or suspend all diplomatic and economic ties with Israel.
• Publicly and unequivocally condemn the genocide being carried out.
• Convene an emergency summit of the OIC and Arab League to agree on collective action.
• Stop all collaboration with governments that are materially supporting Israel’s assault, including the United States, until they end their complicity.
• Provide sustained humanitarian, medical, and reconstruction support to the Palestinian people through direct and independent channels.
If you cannot lead, then at the very least do not obstruct those who are trying to act.

If Arab and Muslim leaders cannot answer that call, then the moral leadership of the Ummah will shift elsewhere. History will not be kind to those who chose comfort over conscience.”

AFIC stands firmly with the people of Palestine and reaffirms its commitment to advocating for justice, dignity, and liberation for all Palestinians. The time for statements has long passed. What is needed now is action. And history will judge each of us by what we chose to do, or failed to do, at this defining moment.
