تُعدّ الحياة مليئة بالصعوبات والتحديات الكبيرة، لكن عندما يتعلق الأمر بقصة طفل لبناني وُلد في أسرة فقيرة، يصبح الأمر أكثر إلهاماً. فقد كان هم الأسرة الأكبر هو تأمين لقمة العيش اليومية لأطفالها فقط، مع عدم القدرة على توفير التعليم الذي يضمن لهم مستقبلاً أفضل بسبب القيود المالية التي واجهتها.
كان هذا هو حال الطفل اللبناني سام حرب، الذي اضطر لمواجهة الحياة رغم صغر سنه، حيث بدأ العمل منذ سن الخامسة ليجمع مبلغاً بسيطاً من المال يساعد به والده وأشقائه الصغار. ومع ذلك، حينما تضاف قوة الشخصية والإندفاع وحب المغامرة والتحدي إلى الذكاء الحاد، يتحقق الإبداع الحقيقي الذي يثير الإعجاب
هاجر سام حرب من لبنان إلى أستراليا في عام 1977، وكانت جيوبه خالية إلا من الشغف والتصميم. فقد قام السيد سام حرب ببناء شركة ناجحة بشكل مذهل من الألف إلى الياء. في عام 1985، بدأ سام بالتعاون مع زوجته أنيت مشروعاً صغيراً لتركيب الأرصفة
لم يكن مشوار الإغتراب سهلاً على سام، الذي كان أمياً في بداياته، ولكن بفضل إصراره وقدرته على التكيف مع جميع الظروف، ورغم الصعوبات التي واجهها في وطنه الأم وفي أستراليا، لم يستسلم. إستطاع أن يتجاوز العقبات ويبني مشروعاً ناجحاً بفضل قدراته ومواهبه الفريدة، وحقق نجاحاً تلو الآخر في مجال عمله. كان لديه رؤية واضحة وإهتمام كبير بتحقيق أهدافه، وكان يعرف تماماً ما يريد تحقيقه، ووضع خطة عمل فعّالة لتحقيق ذلك، وإستخدم الأهداف كدافع قوي للعمل بجد والتغلب على الصعاب.
يتمتع السيد سام حرب بشخصية محببة وقدرة فائقة على بناء علاقات قوية مع الآخرين. بفضل هذه الميزات، إستطاع أن يكسب ثقة العملاء والشركات الأسترالية من خلال أدائه المتميز، والإلتزام بالجودة، وحسن تعامله مع الجميع بكرم وإحترام.
رغم أن السيد سام حرب وُلد في أسرة بسيطة، ومنذ صغره كان يدرك قيمة العمل الجاد، إلا أنه بذكائه وجهوده المستمرة، تمكن من تنمية شركته بنجاح وجعلها تزدهر يوماً بعد يوم حتى أصبحت واحدة من أهم الشركات التي تحمل إسم :

من رحم الصعوبات، شق طريقه ورسم خطواته، وتعلم من الحياة ما لم يتعلمه في المدارس والجامعات، حتى أصبح بحد ذاته مدرسة في التفكير والتخطيط والإدارة والنجاح. لم يتعب يوماً من صعوبات الحياة، لأنه كان على يقين بأن من جدّ وجد، ومن زرع حصد.
رجل الأعمال سام حرب حصد وما زال يحصد تعب السنين ومرارة الأيام، لذلك يواصل النضال ويسعى لتحقيق أهم الإنجازات في أستراليا، ولكن لم ينسَ يوماً وطنه الأم لبنان الذي يحمله في قلبه. كما يؤمن بالقضية العربية ويثق تماماً بأن النصر آت لا محالة.
من ناحية أخرى، يسعى السيد سام حرب لمساعدة لبنان وشعبه، ويده البيضاء ممدودة دائماً للخير والعطاء.
إن الجالية اللبنانية في أستراليا تفتخر بوجود قدوة ومثال يحتذى به خلقاً وعملاً.
Sam Harb: A Success Story of Determination and Resilience
Life is filled with obstacles and challenges, and the path to success is certainly not an easy one. Sam Harb’s story is a testament to overcoming such hurdles and a picture of what is possible.
Born into an impoverished Lebanese family, Sam’s early life was marked by financial struggles that left little room for educational opportunities. Despite these constraints, his innate spirit and initiative shone through from a young age. At just eight years old, Sam began working to contribute to his family’s meagre income. His early childhood experiences, working alongside his father, forged a character defined by resilience, determination, and a love for adventure. These qualities, combined with a razor-sharp intellect, set the stage for his extraordinary achievements.
In 1977, Sam Harb migrated to Australia with little to his name but passion and ambition. Starting from scratch, he and his wife, Annette, founded a small pavement installation business in 1985. The path was fraught with challenges – particularly as Sam adapted to a new country and culture. However, the pair always maintained a clear vision and commitment to their goals. They meticulously planned their strategies, and worked tirelessly to achieve their objectives. Today, almost 40 years later, that small pavement installation business is better known as Sam the Paving Man, a leader in its field that has worked on some of Sydney’s most notable recent developments, including Darling Square, Wynyard Walk and Barangaroo.
Sam’s enthusiasm for his craft is evident in the quality of his services and his approach to business relationships. He leads by example, fostering a culture of teamwork, fairness, and innovation within his company. However, he stresses the significance of his wife’s contributions, without whom, he claims that his success would not have been possible.
Despite having made a name for himself in Australia, Sam remains deeply connected to his homeland of Lebanon. His commitment to helping his country and its people underscores his belief in the power of community and the importance of giving back. For this reason, Sam is a highly respected member of the Australian Lebanese community, and a true role model.
While Sam did not have the privilege of receiving an education, he believes that all children – both in Australia and Lebanon – should be afforded educational opportunities and knowledge development in order to enable them to pave their way towards a more prosperous future.
